In our newest video, David Grau demonstrates how to prune lower growth from your newly planted tomatoes.
Pruning low branches has two benefits. First, it helps prevent disease and garden pests moving from the soil to the plant. Second, it encourages the upper parts of the tomato plant to spread and produce more.
Lower pruning also improves airflow when the plants get bigger.
